Ludwig Vohland is a German attorney-at-law (Rechtsanwalt).
He graduated in law in 1975 and received a doctorate (Dr. jur.) in 1980, both from the University of
Munich. He has published a book on the requisites of the patentable invention in Italy in
comparison with the European Patent Convention and a comment on the new German Trademark Act.
He was a member of the staff of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Patent,
Copyright and Competition Law in Munich from 1973-83. He was an associate with Neumann from 1983-93
and with Rau & Partner from 1994-97. Ludwig Vohland became an associate at Bardehle
et al in 1998 and joined the Frohwitter firm shortly afterwards.
He specializes in patent litigation, mediation and arbitration; he also prosecutes and
litigates trademarks and unfair competition matters in Germany and
Italy.
Dr. Vohland is admitted to practice before the European and German Patent Offices, the Munich
District and Appeals Courts, the German Federal Patent Court and the Office for Harmonization in the
Internal Market.
Dr. Vohland speaks German, English and Italian.
