Peter Schoene obtained his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) and diploma (Dipl.-Ing.) degrees in
electrical engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 1977 and 1972 respectively.
He worked in the German Air Force, ending up as a radar maintenance Officer from 1963-74 . He
was a research associate in human hearing, acoustical communication and advanced broadcast
applications of stereophonic pickup and reproduction systems at the
Technical University of Munich (1974-77) and at the Institut für Rundfunktechnik (1978-80).
Whilst working at the German and European Patent Offices from 1980 until 1987, Dr. Schoene was
involved with searches, examination and opposition of patents, with technical emphasis on picture
transmission systems. He was an associate with Bardehle et al until 1998, when he joined
the Frohwitter firm.
He specializes in patent prosecution, opposition and nullification as well as patent
infringement litigation. Peter Schoene has lectured on acoustic and noise control at the
Federal Armed Forces University in Munich since 1999.
