Tatjana Kowal-Wolk is a German attorney-at-law (Rechtsanwalt).
She graduated in law from the University of Heidelberg in 1975 and a obtained a doctorate
(Dr. jur.) in 1982 for research into international and European law at the Max Planck Institute
in Heidelberg.
Dr. Kowal-Wolk was trainee from 1984 until 1985 at Morgan, Finnegan, Pine, Foley and Lee in New York.
She has been associated with Bardehle et al since 1986 and began her research activities at the
Max-Planck-Institute for Foreign and International Patent, Copyright and Competition Law in Munich at
the same time. Dr. Kowal-Wolk joined the Frohwitter firm in 1998.
Dr. Kowal-Wolk has broad experience in handling trademark prosecution in patent litigation, mediation
and arbitration in Germany and Europe.
She is admitted to practice before the Munich District and Appeals Courts, the German
Federal Patent Court, the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Patent Office and the
Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (European trademarks and designs).
Dr. Kowal-Wolk speaks German, English, French and Russian
