Ullrich Greis holds a degree in physics (Dr. rer. nat.) and is a former judge at the
Federal German Patent Court.
He has published a large number of papers and was co-inventor of more then 30 patents for his company.
He received the Charles E. Ives award of the SPSE for holographic data storage with Fourier holograms
He was an assistant professor at the University of Munich in x-ray physics and physiological optics from 1964-68,
and worked at Agfa Gevaert AG from 1969-83. He was also head of department for the development of injection molding,
plastic optics and grinding machines for aspheric lenses. He was appointed an examiner at the physics department
of the German Patent and Trademark Office in Munich in 1983. He was judge at the German Patent Court in the field
of physics, especially optics, measuring devices, X-ray, NMR techniques and security systems from 1994-2003.
Ullrich Greis became an associate member of Frohwitter in Munich as a patent specialist in 2003.
